The Brightec team is delighted to have been recognised as the Best App Development Agency of 2021
Waterstone’s goal was to refresh their commercial Android and iOS apps, adding e-commerce capabilities as well as bringing the branding up to date. Design agency Ribot took the lead with UX and UI design while Brightec developed the app in addition to project management support and consultancy from a development perspective. The results exceeded expectations and have served the book retailer’s business well during commercially challenging times.

The UK App Awards announced the 2020 winners via Twitter on Thursday 12th November and Brightec were popping the virtual champagne to hear our Waterstones app was named Best Retail/Shopping app of the year.
The vast majority of our adult lives are spent at work, so it makes sense to create a workplace we can all enjoy being in. We give employees a say in which client projects we take on, so that they continue to feel that their opinion is important and are inspired by the work. We feel this approach is hugely important to maintain employee happiness and make Brightec an outstanding place to work. It’s a constant balancing act but a happy team, and having respect for everybody’s lives, ultimately makes us more productive and profitable.
